Olympic gold medalist Kaitlyn Farrington receives 'Game of Thrones' sigil
It seems the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics are borrowing the tagline "Winter is coming," because "Game of Thrones" is all over the sporting event. In addition to Peter Dinklage narrating the opening ceremony for NBC, one United States Olympian received a very special gift from the HBO series' Twitter account.
Kaitlyn Farrington, who won the women's snowboarding halfpipe on Feb. 12, is a "Game of Thrones" fan. As congratulations for her gold medal victory, the "Thrones" Twitter account made Farrington her very own house sigil.
The "100% fun" line comes from Farrington's Twitter bio. The 24-year-old has been so overjoyed since her Olympic victory that she hasn't thanked the "Game of Thrones" social team yet, but surely her appreciation, like winter, is coming.
"Game of Thrones" Season 4 premieres on April 6 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on HBO.
