Once in love with 'Lost,' always in love with 'Lost'

Naveenandrews_lost_s4_240 You can probably tell from my column that I like to talk. I pretty much always have something to say. I'm not kidding. You could call me right now and we would never have a break in our conversation. And that's even if you don't say anything at all.

But the first two episodes of the fourth season of Lost left me speechless. They were so good and gave me so much to think about that after I watched them I sat quietly on my couch taking it all in.

ABC sent out a long list of what I couldn't tell you about the episodes. Even telling you what I can't tell you would be telling you too much (try saying that five times fast.)

But ABC doesn't need to worry about me because I have no intention of ruining any of the surprises, shocks, and stuns the series has in store for you. I was treated to watching the episodes with no expectations and I want you to have the same experience.

But I will say this:

1. The first two episodes absolutely live up to the buildup and expectations the third season finale set up. Believe the hype. There are instant reveals so don't miss a minute of the episode.

2. The writers do a great job of subtly explaining where the flash forwards fall in the Lost time line.

3. I remain in awe of the intricate world the showrunners continue to create. I kept thinking, "I can't believe all of this came from people's imagination."

4. I am more confused than ever yet simultaneously downright giddy. This is why I love TV.

Yunjinkim_lost_s4_240 The first two episodes are five star episodes. I absolutely can't wait for you to see them so we can get to talking. Remember that Wednesday night, ABC repeats last May's finale with pop-up annotations at 9 p.m. and Thursday night, there's a recap of the first three seasons at 8 p.m. and the fourth season premiere at 9 p.m. You must immediately let me know what you think.

Check This Out

James Denton and Marc Cherry guest star on Head Case Wednesday night at 10 p.m. on Starz. They'll play themselves as Denton works out his relationship with co-star Teri Hatcher.  A little something to tide us over as we await new episodes of Desperate Housewives. Check out a clip at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LcRSV9iOAe8..

I've received so much email from people upset over the cancellation of two Disney Channel series - Kim Possible and American Dragon. And I promised to include information on how to get involved in saving the show. Check out http://www.fightforkp.com for Kim Possible and http://www.fightforadjl.com for American Dragon.

Where Have I Seen Them Before

Catherine Dent was the FBI agent on Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Dent is Officer Danny Sofer on The Shield and we saw her earlier this season as the missing woman who just got out of prison on Without a Trace.

Michelle recognized a slew of familiar faces on Law & Order: SVU. Mark Moses was the man who stole the frozen embryos. He was Paul Young on Desperate Housewives and we recently saw him as Duck Phillips on Mad Men. Janine Turner was his wife. She was Maggie on Northern Exposure and Dr. Dana Stowe on Strong Medicine. Gabrielle Anwar played the woman recovering from chemotherapy whose eggs were stolen. She's Fiona on Burn Notice, Princess Margaret on The Tudors and famously danced with Al Pacino in Scent of a Woman.

Matt Roth was the sleazy corporate executive who tried to steal Katie away on Big Shots. He was Art Shepard last season on Desperate Housewives (remember Lynette accused him of being a pedophile?) and I'll always remember him as Fisher on Roseanne.

Ivanamilicevic_lovemonkey_240 Kristina and Laurie recognized Ivana Milicevic as Casey's long lost love on Chuck. She was Finn's wife on Buffy and Julia on Love Monkey.

Shella recognized David Blue, currently playing Marc's boyfriend Cliff on Ugly Betty, as Logan on Moonlight.

Kathie caught Roma Maffia, Liz on nip/tuck as Judge Victoria Peyton on Boston Legal. Jere Burns played the attorney for the school. He was Michael on Help Me Help You, Kirk on Dear John, and Frank on Good Morning Miami.

That's all for today. I'll be back on Friday with quotes of the week and to answer your questions. Have a question? Seen a familiar face? Want to nominate a quote of the week? Write me at amytvgal@zap2it.com. Talk to you on Friday.
