'Once Upon a Time' casts Christopher Gorham: Who is he to Emma Swan?
EW reports that Christopher Gorham, who plays blind CIA intelligence officer Auggie Anderson on "Covert Affairs," has been cast as an "important character in the life of Emma Swan." The role is going to be relatively brief in its first appearance but it may lead to future appearances.
Who do you think he is, "OUAT" fans?
We're ruling out a former romantic flame of Emma's. It feels like she has quite enough on her plate between Neal and Captain Hook right now, so we don't think that's who Gorham is appearing as.
But the show's creators have said that Emma's last name came from her first foster family, so that's what we're guessing. Her foster family was obviously in her life long enough to give her a last name and she would certainly have an important history and complicated feelings about them, plus it would create good tension with her parents as well. We think Gorham is either her foster father (in flashbacks) or is her foster brother (which is more likely, since then he can visit Storybrooke in present day).
What do you think of our theory? "Once Upon a Time" airs Sunday nights at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
