The boys of One Direction are all about the tattoos these days. Along those lines, Niall Horan got stuck with an unwanted semi-permanent tattoo on his bottom, while Zayn Malik got approval from girlfriend Perrie Edwards for her face being tattooed on his arm.

Niall's unfortunate choice

Unlike the rest of One Direction, Niall Horan doesn't have any tattoos -- not any real tattoos, that is. This fact was the basis of a joking fake tattoo that the young singer got plastered to his bottom.

Yes, his bottom.

British comedian and TV host James Corden had Horan on his show, "A League of Their Own," a few weeks ago. During the broadcast, the joker convinced the young man to get a temporary tattoo of Corden on his body. Of course, the bottom was the best choice for maximum joking.

Alas, it wasn't all laughter over the next few weeks. It seems that Niall's temporary tattoo wasn't so temporary. It took three weeks for the grinning man's face to fade. "We tattooed it on his left buttock -- it took him three weeks to get rid of it. He sent me an update every week, with a photo of my fading face on his a*** saying, 'It's still not gone yet,'" Corden said in a recent interview.

Nothing says true love like a face tattoo

Zayn Malik and his longtime girlfriend, Perrie Edwards of the band Little Mix, seem to be very happily in love. That's pretty much the best explanation for Edwards approving of Malik's tattoo of her face on his arm.

While attending the Teen Choice Awards, omg! Insider asked Edwards how she felt about the new ink. "It must be love, to be honest," she said happily. "When I'm away from him, I guess he can just take a look at his arm and remind him of me. So it's a lovely compliment really. I love it, it's lovely."

Malik and Edwards have been dating since 2011.
