'One Tree Hill's' Sophia Bush and Austin Nichols appear in PSA for Gulf Oil Disaster

sophia-bush-oth-320.jpgTwo months after their trip to the Gulf coast, "One Tree Hill" stars Sophia Bush and Austin Nichols are as dedicated as ever to raising funds to restore the effected areas and to support the people whose jobs and lives have been impacted.

The on-screen (and off-screen) couple are encouraging their fans to donate to Global Green's effort to re-build a more sustainable Gulf Coast. If you're strapped for cash, Bush suggests getting involved by spreading the word. "Even if you don't have money to give but you're looking for another way to help, visit crowdrise.com and create your own profile. It will enable you to inspire others to give," she says in the video.

Crowdrise has been Bush and Nichols' fundraising platform of choice. The site, created by Edward Norton, is a social networking charity site with a sense of humor. "Crowdrise is way more fun than anything else aside from being all nervous about trying to kiss a girl for the first time and her not saying something like 'you've got to be kidding me,'" reads their "About us" section.

Bush and Nichols are sending autographed 8x10 headshots to anyone who donates over $50, and she and Nichols have also spearheaded a contest with Global Green. Any fan who donates exactly $28 on Crowdrise before August 18 at 8 p.m. EST is entered into a contest to win a DVD box set of Season 7 of "One Tree Hill," signed by the entire cast.
