Any big Oprah Winfrey fan knows what her current favorite cocktail is. She made a batch on her Yosemite trip with Gayle King on the "The Oprah Winfrey Show" and we discovered that it was Oprah's cocktail of choice at the OWN reception at the Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour.

"I first tried them at the Soho House here [in Los Angeles]," Winfrey tells Zap2it. "That's where I discovered it. I didn't know what they were."

Moscow Mules were created in the 1950s when vodka was enjoying a renewed popularity. And the drink got its name, because vodka was (and still is) viewed a very Russian product.

So, in case you don't live in or close to L.A., but you want to drink like a media mogul...

Here's Oprah's recipe for Moscow Mules:

Servings: Serves 1

Ingredients:
1 ounce vodka
1 tsp. sugar syrup
Fresh lime juice
1/2 cup ginger beer
1 sprig fresh mint
1 slice of lime

Directions:
In a copper mug, pour vodka over ice. Add sugar syrup and lime juice. Top with ginger beer and stir. Garnish with mint sprig and lime slice.

Try it and let us know what you think of Oprah's favorite drink!
