'Partners' canceled by CBS
The show, which has been the weakest link in CBS' Monday comedy lineup this fall, is leaving the air effective immediately. A rerun of "Two and a Half Men" will fill its spot on Nov. 19, and a CBS rep tells Zap2it that a rotation of comedy repeats will air at 8:30 p.m. Mondays for the next several weeks.
Through its first six episodes, the comedy starring David Krumholtz and Michael Urie has averaged 6.3 million viewers and a 2.3 rating among adults 18-49. By themselves, those aren't terrible numbers -- its total audience is bigger than anything in ABC's Thursday comedy block, for instance. But it lags well behind everything else in the Eye's Monday block.
"Partners" joins fellow CBS series "Made in Jersey" on the canceled list. The network is batting .500 with its new shows this fall, having given full-season orders to "Elementary" and "Vegas."
