Paul McCartney, Nancy Shevell wedding: Cops called on reception
In the wee hours of Monday (Oct. 10) morning, McCartney's neighbors called the cops after the party celebrating his marriage to Nancy Shevell got a little to raucous. According to the Associated Press, law enforcement officials came to their St. John's Wood home and asked the former Beatle to turn down the tunes. McCartney complied.
"Officers visited and the volume was reduced on request," says Andrew Ralph of the Westminster City Council. "No further action is being taken."
Of course it's hard to fault McCartney for wanting to jack up the music. When you're guests include Ringo Starr, Rolling Stones' Ronnie Wood and Pink Floyd's David Gilmour, what's wrong with trying to impress.
Or maybe McCartney's just being a rocker. As the saying goes, "If it's too loud, you're too old."
