'Person of Interest' Season 3 episode 9 'The Crossing' first look clip: The fate of Carter's judge revealed

"Person of Interest" hits the second installment of its three-part epic Season 3 event with tonight's episode "The Crossing," and it seems like it picks up right from where "Endgame" left off. Warning: there are some spoilers in the above clip and this article.

In an exclusive clip from "The Crossing," Patrick Simmons resolves the problem with the judge Carter went to in the only way he knows how: by killing him. That should tie up any loose ends in regards to the felony murders that took place there, while also making sure the judge doesn't talk to the wrong people.

But Simmons is on Reese's scent, and he really only seems interested in bringing down "the man in the suit." Reese has been good enough at evading HR for all of "Person of Interest" prior to this, so hopefully his good luck doesn't end now. Then again, what we do know about this episode is that Reese's number gets given out.

The synopsis for "The Crossing" reads: "Danger closes in when the battle to bring the crime organization HR to justice reaches new heights. Also, when The Machine suddenly gives out Reese's number, the POI team faces their greatest threat yet."

"Person of Interest" airs Tuesdays on CBS at 10 p.m.
