'Pitch Perfect' trailer shows off Anna Kendrick's Tony-nominated voice

anna-kendrick-pitch-perfect-trailer.jpgQuality fun, campy teen movies are few and far between, but "Pitch Perfect" looks to be the next heir to the "Mean Girls"/ "Bring It On"/ "Clueless" throne. Anna Kendrick stars as a rebellious college freshman who joins an all-girl a cappella group, but she's just one of many awesome ladies in the film.

From the first trailer, we can tell that Anna Camp and Brittany Snow do that "wound too tight good girl" thing they're so amazing at, while Rebel Wilson is reliably hilarious as the oddball friend.

If you like campy comedies and musical theater (plus the good ol' days of "Glee"), this should be right up your alley. Plus, it's from "30 Rock" writer Kay Cannon, which logic tells us will mean it'll be just as excellent as "Mean Girls." Plus, Kendrick was nominated for a Tony as a child so she'll obviously sound awesome. Check out the trailer below.

"Pitch Perfect" hits theaters October 5, 2012.
