Pregnant Kim Kardashian nude statue compares reality star to Buddha

Sculptor Daniel Edwards stripped down Kim Kardashian in an attempt to reveal the very pregnant reality TV star's beauty. Edwards created a life-sized nude sculpture of the "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" star called "L.A. Fertility" that is currently on display in Los Angeles' LAB ART Gallery.

The sculpture, which can be seen above, shows Kardashian in all her pregnant glory. Edwards tells Los Angeles Magazine that he created the figure as a response to criticism over Kardashian's pregnancy weight gain.

"People tend to look at the parts, like the creases in her armpits, or how she wore a dress that makes her look like a killer whale," he says. "I'm stripping it of the details people get stuck on, so they can see the beauty."

This isn't the first time Edwards has depicted a celebrity nude with their child. He created a 2006 statue of Britney Spears giving birth and 2009 sculpture of Angelina Jolie breast feeding.

"L.A. Fertility" is now available for all spectators to see. Those who visit LAB ART Gallery are invited to rub Kardashian's stomach for good luck -- "kind of in reference to Buddha," Edwards says.
