'Pretty Little Liars' and 'The Lying Game' premiere date, plus more ABC Family news

pretty-little-liars-S2-summer-finale.jpgGood news, "Pretty Little Liars" fans! Your girls will be back in Rosewood very soon. "Pretty Little Liars" will return on a new night, Monday, January 2 at 8 p.m. According to ABC Family's official press release, Aria, Emily, Hanna, and Spencer are waging their own war on A this year.

The press release reads: "No longer just wanting to sit by and wait for "A's" latest cruel attack, Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer take matters into their own hands and try to finally put a stop to their tormentor. As relationships are put to the test, new and old secrets are revealed and the stakes are raised higher than ever before as the Liars come closer to the truth - will all of their sacrifices be worth it in the end?"

We can practically hear the theme song in our heads.

Mondays on ABC Family will be a double dose of liars, as "The Lying Game" also premieres Jan. 2, but at 9 p.m. ABC Family tells us that the love between Emma and Ethan is only getting stronger, though it's tested by Sutton's disappearance: no one knows if she's missing or dead. Meanwhile, Charisma Carpenter has been added to the cast in the controversial role of Char's aunt, Rebecca "Annie" Sewell.

In other ABC Family news, "Switched at Birth" has also got a premiere date, and the brand new series "Jane By Design" will follow it beginning Tuesday, Jan. 3 at 9 p.m.
