'Pretty Little Liars' cast, creators talk what's in the trunk - you might have to look away

pretty-little-liars-trunk-season-3.jpgOne of the big mysteries when "Pretty Little Liars" returns for its fourth season is the big Season 3 finale cliffhanger -- what's in Detective Wilden's squad car trunk?

Creator Marlene King teases for Zap2it, "I've seen the episode at least 10 times now -- when I see what or who is in the trunk, I still have to look away."

She also says the writers have known what/who it was going to be "from the beginning of Season 3." "We always know where we're going to end when we begin," says King. "We work our way backwards."

Here are what the other "Liars" family members had to say about the trunk and its contents.

"I can't tell you that! -- Tyler Blackburn

"It's going to be very shocking." -- Janel Parrish

"Probably flares. A tire iron. Possibly a beach blanket and a very old tunafish sandwich. There might be something else in there too." -- executive producer Joseph Dougherty

"It is a very shocking surprise. I think it'll be a surprise that will stick with you. It's not an immediate reveal but it becomes more and more known throughout the episode." -- Troian Bellisario

"Well, if I told you I would be fired and probably escorted out of here. I have to be very careful when I talk about this. ... It changes the whole dynamic of the show this season, because it makes it a lot darker than it ever has been, if that's possible. ... But it definitely sets the tone for this season." -- Shay Mitchell

"Its contents are shocking. I would be scared straight if I opened that trunk and I saw what was really in there -- me, Keegan. I was not expecting it." -- Keegan Allen

"It's really gross. I don't think it's what the fans will expect. It's kind of random. I wish I could tell you ... you find out more about it as the episode goes on." -- Sasha Pieterse

There you have it, PLL fans. What are you guesses? "Pretty Little Liars" returns Tuesday night at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC Family.
