'Pretty Little Liars': Romantic vs. realistic

aria-pretty-little-liars-s2.jpgIn good ol' Rosewood this week, the "Pretty Little Liars" get a little more of the puzzle for the night of Alison's murder. Caleb manages to get a video off the phone that shows Ian, Garrett and Jenna searching Alison's room for the videotapes she stole from them.

Of course, he does this on the sly because Hanna doesn't want him getting hurt. He takes the footage to Spencer and Emily and gets a few answers as to what is going on and now the three Liars who are not named Hanna have the video.

Speaking of wanting to protect your significant other - Toby falls off the scaffolding that "A" tampered with, breaking his arm and sustaining a concussion. So Spencer uses Emily to break Toby's heart, telling him that Spencer is back together with Wren. And Toby leaves his truck in Spencer's yard and leaves town. Sad.

Aria and Holden continue to be beards for each other and Aria and Ezra reconcile. In the rain, no less. And the Liars think Holden is gay for not wanting to make out with Aria - yes, because either you want to make out with Lucy Hale or you're gay. He say she's not, but he's still not revealing why he needs Aria to cover for him.

Poor Mona is sad about being dumped by Noel, who is a giant jerk to her. She and Hanna also spy him having dinner with Jenna, which is obviously orchestrated by Jenna as she overheard Mona and Hanna talking about going out to eat. But do you think Noel and Jenna have a history?

In perhaps the biggest news, the Liars find notes stuffed in a doll that belonged to Alison. The notes are of a threatening nature and one of them is signed "A." So now the Liars know that "A" was harassing Alison too.

Thoughts & Tidbits

  • Toby confronting Wren was kind of awesome ("I may have broken my left arm, but my right arm's fine"). We would like to put in a request for a Toby/Wren fight. Preferably in the rain or a body of water of some kind.
  • Speaking of the rain, we're glad that Ezria is back together, but that was kinda barfy. Sorry. Guess we're not feeling the romanticism this week.
  • We kind of suspected Holden wasn't gay. Not just because he's not interested in Aria, but that seemed too obvious. We wonder what he's hiding. Perhaps he has a secret gambling problem.
  • Does anybody hope Spencer rekindles things with Wren? We like Toby, but we were also big fans of Spencer and Wren's chemistry together.

What are you thoughts, PLL fans?
