Prince George's birth certificated revealed by Royal Palace - See it here
Prince George Alexander Louis' birth certificate has officially been signed. The Royal Palace announced that Prince William and Kate formally registered their firstborn son on Aug. 2.
Though it's tradition for the royal baby's parents to sign the papers at a local registrar's office, in this case a Westminster Council registrar came to them and served as a witness. The birth certificate can be seen in its entirety above. Here are some fun facts we learned from the official document, which was revealed via the Clarence House Twitter:
- Prince George's official name and surname is "His Royal Highness George Alexander Louis of Cambridge."
- Prince William and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, simply had to write for their occupations "Prince of the United Kingdom" and "Princess of the United Kingdom." It must be nice.
- Prince William filled out the birth certificate. He simply signed it, "William."
