Clarence House announced Monday (March 25) that the 28-year-old prince will visit the United States from May 9 to May 15 for an "engagement on behalf of charities with which the Prince is closely associated."

The agenda includes stops in Colorado, Washington D.C., New Jersey, New York City and Connecticut, where the prince will primarily focus on supporting veterans and veterans charities.

In Colorado, the prince will stop at the 2013 Warrior Games, which is a competition between U.S. and U.K. veterans. The Washington D.C. stop includes a tour of a landmine exhibit and meeting wounded soldiers at the Walter Reed Medical Center.

Prince Harry has been an active member of the British military since 2005, when he started at the Royal Military Academy. He recently completed a four-month tour in Afghanistan as a pilot for the British Army.
