'Project Runway' Season 10 designers walk off show
Although the season has only been filming for a week and a half, starting with a fashion show in Times Square on June 15, a new report says that not one but two contestants are already gone from the competition -- and not because Heidi Klum gave them the "Auf Wiedersehen."
According to Page Six, one contestant had a meltdown while filming at Parsons School for design. "A psychologist was brought in to talk to him, but he seemed too nervous and it was decided he should leave the show," says a source. The night before, a female contestant took her suitcase and disappeared from set in the middle of the night.
"We lost two designers in one day. This has never happened. They seem to be under a lot more pressure," the source says. Judge Michael Kors gave the remaining contestants a pep talk to calm them down, but the source notes "there is a lot more tension and pressure on the designers" during Season 10.
In other "Project Runway" news, Season 8 third place finisher Andy South has begun living life as a woman, according to The Hollywood Reporter. She now goes by Nong Ariyaphon Southiphong, and thanks fans for their support on her Facebook page.
"Thank you to my fans and friends who have supported me all the way," she writes. "Much has changed in a year. I am blessed to be accepted and welcomed just the way I am. May that love flow through me and onto many others. Live in love for the world needs it."
