psych-season-6-premiere.jpgWait for iiiiiit... No, seriously, "Psych" fans, you're going to have to wait just a bit longer for the return of our favorite comedy detective series starring the incomparable James Roday and Dule Hill.

"Psych's" seventh season will debut at 10 p.m. ET Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013, the USA network announced Wednesday (Oct. 10).

As we previously reported, "Psych: The Musical," a two-hour extravaganza, features guest stars Barry Bostwick, Brooke Lyons and Anthony Rapp joining the entire cast in performing original songs by "Psych" creator Steve Franks.

Another Season 7 highlight is "Psych's" landmark 100th episode, a tribute to the 1985 cult classic film "Clue." Special guests include original "Clue" cast members Christopher Lloyd, Lesley Ann Warren and Martin Mull as well as Garrett Morris, Steve Valentine and the return of Tears for Fears' Curt Smith, playing himself.

Zap2it was on set for the "Clue" episode and is returning to Santa Barbara Vancouver next week for the filming of the musical, so expect lots of delicious gooey-chocolate-chip-cookie morsels to come.

In the meantime, let's console ourselves with the "Psych" music video cover of "Don't You (Forget About Me)," shall we?

And don't forget to mark your calendars: Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013, at 10 p.m. on USA.
