Quvenzhane Wallis meets Jennifer Hudson on Oscars red carpet

During MTV's Oscar red carpet show, Best Actress nominee Quvenzhane Wallis, 9 years old, got the chance to meet fellow actress, Oscar winner  Jennifer Hudson. Hudson shook the girl's hand, asking her if she was excited, which she was, of course.

Then Hudson asks Wallis if she ever dreamed she would be where she is now. In a very funny moment, Wallis tilts her head to the side to consider the idea, before replying, "Um, no." "Well, you're here," Hudson says. One of the show's hosts then asks Hudson if she has any advice for Wallis, the youngest person ever nominated for Best Actress. "All I can say is just stay humble," Hudson advises, "and live every bit of this moment." She then adds, "And get used to hearing 'Academy Award' at the beginning of your name." Hudson then posed with Wallis, so her mother could snap a photo of the moment.

The interview then got back on track, with time for only a couple more questions. One of the hosts asks Wallis if being nominated for an Oscar would be the ultimate trump card for her to play at school during show and tell. Keeping it simple, Wallis just responds, "I don't do show and tell," before showing off the latest in a long line of her puppy purses.

Of course, Jennifer Lawrence went on to win the Academy Award for Best Actress, but this likely won't be the last the world sees of Wallis.
