'Ravenswood' a lot darker than 'Pretty Little Liars,' says Tyler Blackburn
"Ravenswood" is coming to ABC Family in just one week and star Tyler Blackburn is here to give us all the deets.
"In the town, there's a curse that lingers, it's been in the town for a long time, hundreds of years," says Blackburn. "It directly affects five people, Caleb included. It's about him uncovering the mystery of the curse and how it correlates to his ancestry. He also helps the other four do the same."
"The tone of 'Ravenswood' is a lot darker than 'Pretty Little Liars' ... it's scary, it's eerie. There's a lot of old sets, a lot of old houses. ... Just these little nuances that make it so creepy, the whole show's like that," he continues.

"It does have a spiritual and supernatural aspect, but it touches on real-life issues as well -- family, friends, love, loss, trials and tribulations. There's such a wide array of characters that somebody will be able to identify with somebody in this cast," adds Blackburn.
"It has just every aspect that you would want in a TV show. Therefore, I think, it's similar to PLL, so it's going to bring the PLL audience over, but then because it does have this creepy, supernatural theme, so it will bring new audience members that are interested in that."
"Ravenswood" premieres Tuesday, Oct. 22 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on ABC Family before moving to its regular 8 p.m. timeslot on Oct. 29.
