'Real Housewives of Atlanta': Kandi Burruss deals with relationship woes, Porsha Stewart deals with divorce

real-housewives-of-atlanta-season-6-premiere-bravo.jpgThe South's most delicious divas returned to TV on Sunday (Nov. 3) as "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" returned for Season 6, giving fans the opportunity to check back in with their favorite Georgia peaches. Let's take a look at where each Wife was at the start of the season.

Nene Leakes: Nene's doing just fine as Season 6 picks up. Sure, "The New Normal" was recently canceled and she's returning to Atlanta full-time, but she's reveling in her recent re-marriage to husband Gregg, opening Tiffany boxes galore and receiving Hermes plates from New Jersey residents who probably shouldn't be sending them (cough:Teresa and Joe Giudice:cough). Sure, she's got some pesky drama with the increasingly unbearable Kenya Moore (more on that in a minute), but it's nothing this grand dame can't handle. Nene's still right where she belongs: On top.

Cynthia Bailey: Cynthia's one cool customer. At the start of the hour, we learn that she's moving The Bailey Agency into a new location across from husband Peter's Bar One, a warehouse her trifling hubby bought with her money, then waited six months to tell her about. She plays it off like it's no big deal, but she really ought to be taking that man for every pent he's worth. (Which probably isn't much.) As she's tearing down the old space, Kenya comes twirling in, unannounced, because Kenya is also trifling. Cynthia basically tells Kenya that no one likes her, before inviting her to the grand opening party of the new Bailey Agency. Cynthia gets points for remaining the most level-headed woman in the bunch, but loses some for letting her husband walk all over her.

Kandi Burruss: Kandi's engaged to boy toy Todd, but it isn't so happy. Turns out Mama Joyce thinks Todd has ulterior motives and others are gossiping about whether Kandi's a sugar mama or not. She gets in a good line ("I wrote 'No Scrubs.' Hellur."), but as the previews foreshadow, there's more drama to come from this situation.

Phaedra Parks: Most of Phaedra's screentime is spent doting over new son Mr. President (who, I swear, she never calls by his birth name, whatever it may be) and talking up her new house. Pretty subpar showing from one of the wackiest ladies on this show.

Porsha Stewart: As Season 6 picks up, Porsha's in the thick of her divorce with icky husband Kordell Stewart. We learn she learned of his filing via Twitter (Real low, Kordell. Real low.), is more bothered about having let God down when it comes to the failed union, and believes her (soon-to-be) ex-husband may be on the down low. She's also turned to Nene for advice, which is a wise move. Always, always align yourself with Queen Leakes.

Kenya Moore: Sigh. What to say about Kenya. She's still wasting time yelling about Walter. She's still clinging to that "Gone With the Wind fabulous" catchphrase that is so dead, it's been cremated. And now she's picking a fight with Nene?! She has the nerve to complain that Nene invited Walter to her wedding (a wedding Kenya didn't even go to, let alone bother to RSVP to). What does she care? She doesn't except for the screentime it allows her. Kenya thought she was hot stuff last season, but she seems poised to be even more insufferable this year, buying way too much into her imaginary hype. Watching Nene flick her away like a bug at Cynthia's party was a delight.

What did you think of the Season 6 premiere of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta"? Are you looking forward to the rest of the season?
