Ricky Martin, Gloria Estefan to perform at the White House to celebrate Latin music

Ricky Martin and Gloria Estefan are headed to Washington, D.C. for a very special performance at the White House. They, along with Arturo Sandoval, will  appear as part of "Musica Latina: In Performance at the White House" on September 16, which will be hosted by President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama, the Washington Post reports.

Other performers for the event include Natalie Cole, Lila Downs, Raul Malo, Prince Royce, Romeo Santos, Alejandro Sanz and Marco Antonio Solis. The concert will air in English and Spanish on PBS on October 8, before premiering for online viewing.

Previously, the White House celebrated Latin music with a 2009 concert that featured Estefan, along with Marc Anthony, Sheile E., Los Lobos and more.
