Rihanna at 'Battleship' premiere after medical emergency

rihanna-battleship-premiere-gi.jpg Rihanna hit the blue carpet Thursday (May 10) night for the premiere of her movie, "Battleship," marking the singer's first public appearance since being treated for the flu with an IV on Tuesday.

Her illness forced her to miss the "Saturday Night Live" dress rehearsal last week, but show producers reportedly didn't buy the excuse, according to TMZ. However, a few days after the "SNL" performance, Rihanna's doctor put her on Penicillin, soon after which she started to experience flu-like symptoms that required IV treatment. ( Check out the pic of her IV she tweeted if you really want to.)

Of course, "SNL" producers weren't the only ones not buying that RiRi was just laid up with the flu, as rumors swirled that she was ill from too much partying.

So when one of her Twitter followers asked why the media was suggesting she needed rehab, the "Where Have You Been" singer responded, "cuz betty ford specializes in flu's, and refusing to lip sync a dress rehearsal cus ur sick, means ur not sick....and such."

Either way, glad she's feeling better.
