'Ringer' and 'The Secret Circle' canceled, 'Hart of Dixie' renewed

hart-of-dixie-george-zoe.jpgLooks like we'll be heading back to Bluebell, Ala. in the fall after all as The CW has just renewed the Josh Schwartz/Stephanie Savage drama "Hart of Dixie" for Season 2. Unfortunately, "The Secret Circle" and "Ringer" didn't have the same luck, as the network has canceled both freshman shows presumably thanks to low ratings.

"Hart of Dixie" actors like Cress Williams and Wilson Bethel joyously tweeted the news of their renewal -- "Many many many thanks to all our amazing #HartofDixie fans! Without you I'd have to go back to taking my clothes off for money.. Oh, wait...," writes Bethel, while Williams goes with the simple "'HART OF DIXIE' SEASON 2 HERE WE COME!!! :-)"

"Secret Circle" EP Kevin Williamson thanked everyone involved on his show, writing, "The Circle may be gone but some amazing friendships were formed and I'm truly blessed!"

"Hart of Dixie" joins The CW's five new dramas -- "Arrow," "The Carrie Diaries," "Cult," "Beauty and the Beast" and "First Cut" -- along with Season 3 of "Nikita," a sixth and final season of "Gossip Girl," plus more "90210," "Supernatural" and "Vampire Diaries."
