Rita Ora opens up about Rob Kardashian breakup: 'I was never there'
Talk about perfect timing. The day after Rob Kardashian went on a Twitter tirade about former girlfriend Rita Ora -- and then quickly deleted it -- a snippet of a recent interview with the pop star has been released where she claims the couple was long broken up.
"I'm not going out with Rob. We were close for a while, but it didn't work because I was never there. I was like a ghost," Ora tells Glamour UK in the magazine's January issue (via Perez Hilton). "I used to get so frustrated with myself and then wonder why I was angry, so I decided it was best to keep it friendly - especially at the moment, when there's so much going on."
She adds about her problem with commitment, "I think it's my only weakness. I'm scared of letting my guard down, and if I feel in love with someone now, he'd have to try ten times harder to break it down."
According to Kardashian, Ora cheated on him with 20 other men during their short-lived relationship. He sent out two tweets about the breakup yesterday before deleting them soon after, but his words couldn't be erased.
"How can a woman who is so busy trying to start her own career have time to be with so many dudes all while in a relationship?!" Kardashian said in the now-deleted tweet."She cheated on me with nearly 20 dudes while we were together, I wonder how many she will sleep with now that we apart? But I mean 20?!!!"
Of course, Kardashian never mentioned Ora by name, and that is his defense for the scandal. Soon after news broke of the situation, the hashtag "#RitaWhora" started trending on Twitter and fans started calling Ora a "whore." Kardashian stood up for himself in the incident, but then later deleted those tweets as well.
"Sad that the media created negativity for a young artist new to the game that is working so hard to make it. Never mentioned any names," his now-deleted tweets read. "I speak truth. I'm a very Real dude and everything I say I mean...But never called anyone specific a whore and said any names. You all did."
