Rosie O'Donnell says Lindsay Lohan not 'capable' of Liz Taylor role

lindsay-lohan-rosie-odonnell-today-getty.jpg Rosie O'Donnell made it clear on the "Today" show Tuesday (April 24) that she is not feeling the Lindsay Lohan casting choice for the new Elizabeth Taylor biopic "Liz & Dick."

"I don't think she's right for the role, and I don't think she's capable at this point of doing what's needed to portray that character," O'Donnell says. "I think the interest level in her has waned significantly."

O'Donnell also says she feels sorry for the oft-troubled actress.

"I think she needs a lot of help. She needs a lot of time away," she says.

When fellow "Today" panel member Donny Deutsch suggests that Lohan is "our generation's Elizabeth Taylor," O'Donnell responds with, "You're out of your mind! You're a crackhead! The last thing she did good she was 16."

Lohan's ever-outspoken father, Michael Lohan, tells TMZ, "Who the hell is Rosie O'Donnell to judge anyone, especially Lindsay, who has far more talent than Rosie ever had?"

He goes on to say, "Lindsay's talent isn't limited to being a comedian or getting notoriety for adopting and raising a bunch of kids. ... Two failed talk shows, a failed marriage, etc. ... He/she who is without sin. May they cast the first stone."
