Royal baby name: What are Kate Middleton and Prince William calling their son?

what-is-the-royal-babys-name.jpgNow that the royal baby has entered the world, and we know both he and his mother, the Duchess of Cambridge, are doing OK, the question is what his name will be.

The baby, who will have the title of His Royal Highness the Prince of Cambridge, was born at 4:24 p.m. London time Monday (July 22). He weighed in at a healthy 8 pounds, 6 ounces, and he and his parents are staying overnight at St. Mary's Hospital in London.

British bookies took a deluge of bets on the baby's name in the hours before the former Kate Middleton gave birth, and while the favorite was Alexandra -- the betting also favored the child being a girl -- George, Charles and Philip were among the leaders for boy names.

Just when the duke and duchess will announce the prince's name is anyone's guess at the moment. Prince Charles and Diana, Princess of Wales made Prince Harry's name public when they left the hospital with him, but when Prince William was born his name wasn't known for about a week.

Your thoughts? What sounds like a name fit for a prince?
