'Saturday Night Live': One Direction, Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake in December

justin-timberlake-jimmy-fallon-nbc.jpg"Saturday Night Live" will air three new shows in December, all featuring performers who have taken the state at Studio 8H multiple times before.

On Dec. 7, Paul Rudd will serve as host for the third time with musical guest One Direction. The British pop stars are making their second appearance on the show.

The following week, John Goodman ("Inside Llewyn Davis," Amazon's "Alpha House") will make his 13th hosting appearance -- and first since 2001. Kings of Leon will be the musical guest for the third time.

Then on Dec. 21, former "SNL" cast member Jimmy Fallon will serve as host for the second time, with his buddy Justin Timberlake as musical guest. (Fallon also hosted the last episode before Christmas two years ago.) Fallon has made a number of unbilled appearances on past Timberlake episodes, but this marks the first time they've been a host-musical guest combo.
