'Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta' star: 'Time to put my big girl panties on and have a double mastectomy'

Lori-Allen-Say-Yes-To-The-Cure-cancer-TLC.jpgOn TLC's "Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta," audiences are used to seeing Lori Allen's sharp and humorous approach to running her Georgia bridal shop and dealing with fussy clients. But in a new special airing tonight, Allen opens up about her breast cancer diagnosis -- and Zap2it has an exclusive clip that reveals her bravery when faced with the treatment process and mastectomy surgery.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, but the 1-hour special chronicles Allen back in the spring of 2012 after her diagnosis, and subsequent treatment. It's a story of strength and hope -- but certainly a rollercoaster of emotions.

In the clip below, Allen talks about removing both of her breasts, and what it means to her.

"I hate cancer," Allen says. "I'm thinking what have I got to do, to get this out of my body."

"It's scary to have your breasts removed," she admits. "It's time for me to put my big girl panties on and get a double mastectomy."

Watch the clip below, and tune into "Say Yes to the Cure: Lori's Fight" tonight (October 26) at 10pm on TLC.
