'Scandal's' Guillermo Diaz: 'Huck likes the sisters,' he jokes on 'Queen Latifah'

"It's so unexpected," says Diaz, of the show's success. "We did seven episodes the first season and we loved it so much and we just hoped the audience would fall in love with it like we did."

Part of becoming so successful is garnering a stable of famous fans, which he says is blowing everybody away.

"Pink just started following me on Twitter and I was like, 'What?! Pink!' ... We were live-tweeting the season premiere ... and Shonda turned to us and says, 'You guys, I just got a tweet from Mariah Carey. Mariah Carey tweeted that she just got Nick Cannon hooked on the show,'" says Diaz.

He then starts saying that everyone over at "Scandal" loves Queen Latifah, so they have to get her on the show. First he jokes that she could be Olivia's sister, then he goes, "Huck needs a new love interest, right? How about Huck's love interest? ... You know Huck likes the sisters."

"Scandal" airs Thursday nights at 10 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
