Scarlett Johansson starts all-girl band The One and Only Singles
On "Live with Kelly and Michael" Tuesday (Feb. 26), Johansson talks about her recent Oscar nomination.
"It's funny because I never thought I would be nominated for an Oscar next to Adele. That was very surprising to me," ScarJo laughs. "[It's] such a beautiful documentary called 'Chasing Ice.' My friend Jay Ralph did all the music for it. He just called me up and we did a song for it. It was a beautiful song that he wrote, but I never could have imagined it'd be nominated for an Oscar."
When host Michael Strahan asks if we can expect more music from Johansson, she actually divulges about her secret musical life.
"I'm in the process of working on an all-girls band ... we're called the One and Only Singles, we're kind of doing our Go-Gos thing," says Johansson.
Our Google-fu yielded no official site or Facebook page, so we'll assume it's still pretty fledgling. But we eagerly anticipate ScarJo going all Belinda Carlisle on us.
Johansson can currently be seen starring as Maggie the Cat in "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" on Broadway, which runs another five weeks.
