'Scary Spice' Mel B. replacing Sharon Osbourne on 'America's Got Talent'
Sharon Osbourne announced this past summer she would be quitting the NBC summer talent competition after the 2012 season was over. In July, Osbourne first announced she was leaving via a cryptic message to fellow judge Howard Stern on Twitter.
Then in August, Osbourne said she was quitting because of NBC's treatment of her son Jack, who was removed as a celebrity contestant on "Stars Earn Stripes" -- after he revealed that he has Multiple Sclerosis.
Now "AGT" has revealed who is replacing the popular judge. It is none other than Mel B., a.k.a. Melanie Brown, a.k.a. Scary Spice. Her entertainment experience includes being a member of British supergroup the Spice Girls and judging the Australian version of "The X Factor."
Mel B. joins returning judges Howie Mandel and Howard Stern for summer 2013. EW reports that that may not be all, however -- NBC is considering hiring a fourth judge.
