'Scott Pilgrim's' Jason Schwartzman talks Season 2 of 'Bored to Death'
Zap2it caught up with Jason Schwartzman after his impromptu turn as weatherman on the KTLA News Morning Show, and he told us about his super-villain power (snark!) in "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World" and what (and who) to expect in Season 2 of "Bored to Death."
First of all, the new crop of episodes will see the primary trio -- Schwartzman, Ted Danson and Zach Galifianakis -- working as more of a unit in their detective work. And the new cases come with higher stakes, including some life-threatening scenarios.
There'll also be more guest stars. Oliver Platt, Kristen Wiig and John Hodgman are all set to reprise their previous roles, and F. Murray Abraham, Kevin Bacon and Zoe Kazan will each appear as well.
Jenny Slate ( "Saturday Night Live"), who played stoner food co-op worker Stella last season, also returns as a love interest for Schwartzman's Jonathan Ames. He can't reveal if there's long-term potential in there, but his character is pretty desperate for a girlfriend.
Season 2 of "Bored to Death" premieres September 26 on HBO, but you can catch Jason as the evilest of seven exes in "Scott Pilgrim vs. The World" on August 13.
