Seahawks QB Josh Portis arrested on suspicion of DUI on May 5
According to the police report, Portis was clocked going 80 miles per hour in a 60 miles-per-hour zone. When he was pulled over, the officer smelled a "strong odor" of intoxicants and noticed that the driver, Portis, had "watery, bloodshot eyes."
The Seattle Post-Intelligencer adds in its article that the passenger in the car "stated Portis was a Seahawk player and he did not have to get out of the car," according to the report.
"Portis asked me if I knew who he was and I stated yes. [The passenger] excited the vehicle and began to cry. [The passenger] stated I was arrested a Seahawk and I was going to ruin him. ... [The passenger] shouted at me and stated she couldn't believe that I was from Seattle, and was arresting a Seahawk," the office writes in the report.
The passenger's name is not given in the article because she was not charged with any crime.
Portis is set to be arraigned on Tuesday, May 29 at the Redmond Courthouse in Seattle.
