Sean Young cleared in Oscar-night slapping incident

TMZ is reporting that the "No Way Out" star found a way out of any legal problems as a representative for the L.A. City Attorney's office says, "Our prosecutors declined to file charges...due to insufficient evidence." The spokesperson also adds that "no further action is expected."

It was on Feb. 26 that Young was reportedly hanging outside the official post-Academy Award gala taking pictures with celebs like Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt and Sandra Bullock. When it turned out that Young didn't have a ticket for the event, guards asked her to leave. She complied but then quickly returned. When this happened, security asked her to depart, at which point Young allegedly smacked a guard.

Young was arrested and charged with misdemeanor battery. But now she's a free woman. As to whether she'll get the apology she demanded from the Academy, that's unlikely.
