'Sesame Street' does 'Mad Men'

sesamestreet_madmen_290.jpgIt is perhaps the ultimate pop-culture compliment, and now it's been paid to "Mad Men."

We're not talking about Emmy Awards or anything like that. No, this is something way cooler: "Mad Men" is now the subject of a "Sesame Street" parody.

As it did with "Law & Order: Special Letters Unit" a few years ago, the venerable PBS kids show has translated "Mad Men" into Muppet form. Muppet Don Draper and his minions are trying to come up with the perfect campaign for Happy Honey Bear, and after a couple of failed attempts they hit on just the right note. Along the way they teach the youngsters about what mad, sad and happy feelings look like along the way while leaving out the repression, angst and duplicity of the grown-up show.

The video is below. (Tip of the hat to The Live Feed, which brought the skit to our attention.)
