In sad, stressful news for fans of Robert Rodriguez and "Sin City," the long-awaited sequel to the violent, artistic film has been pushed by 10 months. "Sin City: A Dame to Kill For" will be released on Aug. 22, 2014 from its original scheduling of October this year.

Because of the change in schedule, director Rodriguez will have only one film, "Machete Kills," released in 2013. The old release schedule had placed "Machete" and "Sin City" almost back-to-back in theaters.

Set to be released by the Weinstein Company, the sequel features the character of Dwight (played by Clive Owen in the first film and by Josh Brolin in the upcoming film), a physically altered man who is "hunted down by the only woman he ever loved ... and then watches his life go straight to hell." That woman is Ava Lord ( Eva Green), quite possibly the "Dame" of the movie title.

It's been 8 years since the original "Sin City" movie, so one more delay seems fitting in a way. In addition to Brolin and Green, the movie stars Mickey Rourke, Jessica Alba, Bruce Willis, Rosario Dawson, Jaime King, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Dennis Haysbert, Christopher Meloni, Jeremy Piven, Ray Liotta, Juno Temple, Stacy Keach and Julia Garner.
