'Sleepy Hollow' is the funniest show about Colonial America and horror mythology on TV

sleepy-hollow-midnight-ride-tom-mison.jpg"Sleepy Hollow" is the funniest show about Colonial America and horror movie mythology currently on television. Seriously: During "The Midnight Ride," the show's latest episode, there was a flashback to Paul Revere's midnight ride, a cop killed in the pilot came back as a zombie-esque monster and the headless horseman (dressed in redcoat uniform) shot up a science lab with a machine gun.

All that happened, and the best part of the epiosde was still the banter between Ichabod ( Tom Mison) and Abby ( Nicole Beharie). This week was particularly buddy cop-esque, with an extended montage of Ichabod and Abby trying to destroy an ancient skull. In an alternate universe, "Abby and Ichy and the Case of the Indestructible Head" would totally have been an appropriate episode title.

In terms of plot development, "The Midnight Ride" might have finally turned Abby's skeptical boss ( Orlando Jones) into a believer of her headless horseman claims. It also gave us more information about headless in the form of a secret code in a notebook, and at the end of the episode, Abby and Ichabod had chained up headless in a creepy sewer.

But really, though, the humor: Ichabod's voicemail (ending every VM from now on "most respectfully, Ichabod Crane," NBD), Ichabod's outrage at the price of bottled water, Ichabod trying to work a computer, Ichabod respectfully declining the advances of an Internet porn pop-up ad.

What was your favorite part of the episode?
