MTV brings back the girls of summer in Season 3 of "Snooki & JWOWW" Tuesday (Oct. 22). By now, though, they are more like the women of summer, with both engaged and Snooki a mom to Lorenzo, 14 months.

Snooki ( Nicole Polizzi) and JWOWW ( Jenni Farley) plan their weddings this season. While shopping for her bridal gown, as you can see in the video below, Snooki wonders about the mechanics of going to the bathroom in the gown. She is also in the midst of planning her dream house.

"It's like an HGTV show on crack," executive producer SallyAnn Salsano tells Zap2it.

Given the long relationship she has with her two stars -- Salsano picked the housemates for "Jersey Shore" and has been behind all of the show's spinoffs -- can she portray them fairly?

"If it happens, it is fair game," Salsano says. "Everyone says what makes a great reality show is a great cast. Like, duh. What makes a great reality show is trust. We all have to say thank God for broadcast standards, but truly I would say I feel like we always give a true portrayal of what is going on in their lives. The minute we stop that, it becomes a celebrity reality show."

Isn't this duo pretty much the poster for celebrity reality?

"I know," Salsano says, "but it didn't start that way. People think of 'Tori and Dean' as a way to keep their celebrity going. What people are intrigued about in their lives is that when they started, they were not celebrities."

In Season 3, Snooki and JWOWW are at the shore, now on Pelican Island, outside of Seaside Heights. (Some New Jersey towns refused permission to film.)

"The show was a great thing for the community, and Sandy devastated it," Salsano says. "And we rushed out there and did the telethon and it was hard when you went back and realized people don't like you. We felt we contributed to the community."

With both women engaged, Salsano's take is that love is going a lot better for Snooki than for JWOWW.

In the past, "I always felt like [Snooki] would look at [her fiancé] Jionni with these googly eyes and he would look at her like, 'What am I doing?'" Salsano says. "Those two look at each other equally googly eyed and more in love than ever before. Jenni and Roger are struggling with day-to-day breathing.

"It looked last season like Jenni and Roger had the easier path and they were living in a big house and Snooki and Jionni were living in a basement and she was pregnant," Salsano continues. "If I had to choose, this season, of who I wanted to be, I would choose Snooki. And last season I would go the other way. That is just life."

This season also focuses on JWOWW struggling over whether to have a child, and whether to adopt or become pregnant. JWOWW's mom and Snooki are both adopted.

After six seasons of gym, tan, laundry, drunken hook-ups, and a whole lot of created drama, Salsano considers if the concept has run its course.

"I always think that going in," she says, "And I flip the camera and the answer is no. There is something about these girls so relatable. And we all know someone like them."
