'So You Think You Can Dance': Mia Michaels greets the top 20
Expect lots of performances -- nine in all -- from the top 20 in smaller breakout groups, then in numbers featuring just the top 10 girls and the top 10 guys before all 20 dancers take the stage in their first big number choreographed by Michaels, who left the show in 2009 to pursue other projects.
"It was a hard decision, actually, because I love doing the show," said Michaels when she left in 2009. "I love being an artist that millions of get to see my work. I knew in that moment and we had not even talked about contracts or anything for the new season yet, so I was just ready to move while I had all this other opportunities in front of me."
Tune in to FOX at 8 p.m. ET to find out if your favorites made it to the top 20 and watch their first performances on the "SYTYCD" stage -- including dances from the show's deep bench of talented choreographers like Sonia Tayeh and sometimes judge Tyce Diorio.
Oh, and don't worry -- the Hot Tamale Train is all but assured to make a stop. Though there's no guarantee that guest judge Zooey Deschanel will be hopping aboard.
