'Sons of Anarchy' welcomes David Hasselhoff (no kidding)

david-hasselhoff-soa-guest.jpgThis is a sentence we did not expect to write this week, or frankly ever: David Hasselhoff will guest-star on "Sons of Anarchy."

But it's true. The Hoff will appear in an episode of the FX drama's fourth season as a character named Dondo Elgarian, a former porn star who's now producing adult films. TV Guide first reported the news, and "SOA" creator Kurt Sutter confirmed it via Twitter.

"Last year, Stephen King, this year 'the Hoff' -- your dose of seasonal ironic guest stars," Sutter wrote. He then added, "Here's the best part ... Hoff and Tom Anrold in the same scene. Say it ain't so, Joe. Say it ain't so ..."

Arnold has appeared on "Sons of Anarchy" before, guesting in a pair of Season 2 episodes as porn producer Georgie Caruso -- who, it was strongly suggested, was involved in Luann's ( Dendrie Taylor) death. TV Guide says Hasselhoff's character is an old associate of Luann's and may be looking to avenge her death.

"Sons of Anarchy" returns to FX in September. Hasselhoff's episode will likely air in October.
