'Star-Crossed': Weighing the pros and cons of Emery's love triangle

aimee-teegarden-star-crossed-love-triangle.jpgIt's a hard life for Aimee Teegarden. On the actress' new CW drama, "Star-Crossed," her character, Emery, has not one but two gorgeous guys vying for her affection. There are plenty of upsides to both: Roman ( Matt Lanter), an alien with a sexy face tattoo who integrates into her 2025 Louisiana high school, and Grayson ( Grey Damon), the everyday human guy.

"They're both viable options but there's a lot of downsides to both," Teegarden tells Zap2it. Roman's pros include the fact that he's an Atrian, which is "unknown, sexy. There's this magnetic pull that the two of them have together."

Then again, the alien thing is a downside too. "They are living in slums, and so there's not a lot of facetime they can have outside of school," she explains. "Also it's a big taboo to even talk to an Atrian." Grayson's boy-next-door vibe is also appealing. "He's a human; he has this nice soft side to him; he has some family issues going on that Emery takes upon herself to try to fix, because Emery's a fixer," Teegarden says.

Those family issues are also a con. "He has a bit of a dark past and stuff sort of comes out later on," she says.

But there's one commonality between the two that will make it very hard for Emery to choose: "They're both pretty gorgeous, I guess."

"Star-Crossed" airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
