Stevie Nicks apology: Mariah Carey should not strangle Nicki Minaj

stevie-nicks.jpgLegendary singer-songwriter Stevie Nicks spoke out against Nicki Minaj for trash talking Mariah Carey during a recent "American Idol" shoot.

In a video posted by TMZ, Minaj can be heard shouting comments about Carey such as, "I told them I'm not f**kin' putting up with her f**kin' highness over there."

Stevie Nicks decided to weigh in on the drama, telling The Daily, "f I had been Mariah, I would have walked over to Nicki and strangled her to death right there."

Nicks is now apologizing for her statement, saying, "It was very out of character for me and I deeply regret what I said. I feel very protective toward Mariah Carey who has gone through many difficulties in her life and I spoke without thinking."

Nicks is the latest in a string of artists who have seen fit to voice their opinions on the much buzzed about feud between the two new "American Idol" judges. Now it's time for you to have a say. Do you think the Minaj-Carey feud is legit, or is it a publicity stunt?
