'Supernatural': Castiel's new lady friend, plus Sam and Dean's 'Back to the Future Part III' adventure

spn-dean-sam-good-evil-320.jpgWe think that there should be a rule that "Supernatural" isn't allowed to go on hiatus for more than a month at a time, ever, because we're starting to get the shakes. Withdrawal symptoms are not cute.

Luckily, to help us through the final days before the show (and Sam's soul) returns on Friday, Jan. 28 at 9 p.m. EST, we've got some juicy spoilers for you!

First of all, Castiel ( Misha Collins) is making a new lady-friend, and this time, it's not a demon. TVLine reports that our favorite rogue angel warrior has gained himself one female sidekick! The still uncast Rachel will be a "a pretty twenty-something angel with a finely tuned BS detector."

Oh, hey, a pretty twenty-something girl on "Supernatural"! We're sure she'll last long. Totally.

Later, grab your hoverboards, kids. Sam ( Jared Padalecki) and Dean ( Jensen Ackles) are going to get sent back to the old west to push the Delorean up to 88 miles per hour with a locomotive!

Oh wait, that's a different thing.

They're actually taking their third trip back in time to meet Samuel Colt - who is quite a formidable figure in "Supernatural" mythology. You'll remember that he built the world's biggest devil's trap to keep the Devil's Gate from opening (but Sam and Dean opened it) and that he built the gun that can kill anything (except Lucifer and maybe a few other big baddies).

We bet Sam Winchester and Sam Colt will have a hell of a lot to talk about, but first they'll have to deal with the angry spirit of Elias Finch.

Can we make a Samuel Colt casting suggestion? Let Padalecki do his worst. It'd be yet another "Supernatural" homage to "Back to the Future." ( This being the first, and this being the second.) This time, let's reference Part III, in which Michael J. Fox played not only Marty McFly, but his Old West relative, Seamus McFly. Plus, after pulling off soulless Sam spectacularly all season, we think Padalecki is highly underrated.

What do you think of these new tidbits, "Supernatural" fans? Who do you think should play Rachel? Are you looking forward to seeing Sam and Dean in those inevitable Old West cowboy hats? Drop us a line in the comments section below!
