'Survivor' alum Rupert considering run for Indiana governor
The bearded man with the tie-dyed shirts has announced he's launching an exploratory committee to run for governor of his home state.
"I see an opportunity to make a difference for Indiana," he writes on his website. "While surveying the current choices for our next Governor, I do not see anyone that has an understanding of what daily life is like for many Hoosiers nor anyone who appears to understand the harm that misguided government policies are doing to our communities."
For the last 20 years, Boneham has been helping at-risk youth through his own charity.
If he chooses to run, Boneham will run as a Libertarian. Others already planning to take a shot at the seat Gov. Mitch Daniels is vacating include Democrat John Gregg and Republican Mike Pence.
Boneham expects to announce his decision in the next few weeks.
