'Survivor: Caramoan's' Allie Pohevitz: The Favorites weren't as scary once I saw them
Are you glad you went on "Survivor"? Was it everything you expected it to be?
"Yeah, I'm ecstatic. I'm so glad I did it. It didn't turn out like I hoped it would, but I'm so glad I did it. The people, living with those people and dealing with them on a daily basis was a lot harder than I expected. Food and water I was worried about, but it was more the social aspect that really surprised me."
What did you think of the "Favorites"? Were any of them your favorite contestants?
"I thoroughly enjoyed Corinne when I watched her season and I liked watching Cochran and Brandon. I didn't ever want to play with them, but I thoroughly enjoyed watching their season. But they weren't my favorites by any means.
Was it intimidating to be playing against returning players?
"Yes and no. I went out there thinking it was going to be huge challenge winners and people with crazy strategies, and I think the people that were on there were people who all needed redeeming. They made one error and it cost them the game. I felt more comfortable with that. I didn't get to play with them and that was unfortunate. But I wasn't as scared once I saw them as I had built up in my head beforehand."
How come your alliance was so confident that Shamar was going home?
"We were working with Matt and Laura. It wasn't like it was just the four of us like everybody thinks. We realized that Laura had switched sides, but we figured we still had Matt with us. We figured Shamar was going home because he as so lazy around camp. We thought once he was gone, we would have Matt with us and have a 5-4 advantage."
When you were voted off, who did you think had the best shot to make it to the end?
"I would say Michael and Matt based on the fact that they were in the middle and nobody saw them as a threat. They could easily play both sides. Michael because he wasn't working with us, but none of us ever said a bad thing about him. He set himself up really nicely."
Would you go back if asked?
"Yes. I would leave right now. It's so frustrating, I think about it every day."
"Survivor: Caramoan" airs Wednesday nights at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
