Former 'Survivor' producer suspect in wife Monica Beresford-Redman's death

monica-beresford-redman.jpgBruce Beresford-Redman, a former producer for the CBS reality competition show "Survivor," reported his wife Monica missing Tuesday, April 6 in Cancun, Mexico. Her body was found Thursday, April 8.

The Associated Press is reporting that Monica's body was found in a sewer near the resort where the family was staying in Cancun. A witness, who only spoke under the condition of anonymity, told the AP that he saw the couple arguing at the resort on Sunday, April 4 and that Bruce Beresford-Redman has been detained as a suspect by the Mexican authorities.

The cause of death has not yet been determined. Bruce told the authorities that his wife left their resort on Monday, April 5 and never returned. More as this story develops...

UPDATE: CBS has confirmed to Zap2it that Beresford-Redman was only a producer on "Survior" Seasons 4, 6 and 8 and hasn't worked for the show since 2004.
