'Sweet Caroline': Neil Diamond opens for 'Enter Sandman' at MLB All-Star game

sweet-caroline-neil-diamond-mlb-all-star-game-gi.jpgThe greatest currently rostered players in Major League Baseball took to the diamond Tuesday night (July 16) at Citi Field in New York for the 2013 All-Star Game. Athletes and fans were treated to an all-star roster of performers as "American Idol" winner Candice Glover sang the National Anthem to kick off the game, and J-Lo's ex Marc Anthony performed "God Bless America."

But the eighth inning is when things really got cool, because Neil Diamond took the field to lead the crowd in a special rendition of ballpark favorite "Sweet Caroline." Check out the video below to see the awesome crowd reactions.

Of course, players still had to take the field after Diamond's hard to beat performance, and Yankees pitcher Mariano Rivera was next to take the mound, entering the field to his home game theme song, Metallica's "Enter Sandman."
