Tagg Romney wants to 'take a swing' at Barack Obama when Mitt Romney is called a liar

The New York Daily News reports Mitt Romney's eldest son told a North Carolina radio station that when Barack Obama accuses his father of being a liar, it makes him feel like "you want to rush down to the debate stage and take a swing at him." The audio from the interview can be heard on a recording posted on YouTube.

Tagg makes the statements with a lighthearted tone, and the GOP candidate's offspring clarifies he has no real intention of going after the presidential incumbent. Regarding his reflexive instinct, Tagg continues, "You can't do that because, well, first because there's a lot of Secret Service between you and him, but also because this is the nature of the process. They're gonna try to do everything they can do to try to make my dad into someone he's not."

The younger Romney also reveals his dad gets nervous before each debate. "He's like anybody," says Tagg. "He gets butterflies a little bit."

The third and final 2012 presidential debate takes place Oct. 22, with Bob Schieffer serving as moderator.
