Tami Erin , a child star best known for starring in "The New Adventures of Pippi Longstocking," was arrested after allegedly beating up her roommate. The 38-year-old was booked for assault.

TMZ reports that Erin was placed under citizens arrest by her neighbor. The Walnut Creek police department in northern California says that Erin's male roommate called out for help, and that's when the neighbor came to his defense.

The roommate sustained no visible injuries, and the case was passed to the District Attorney. Erin was booked for assault, and she was released the following morning.

After breaking out into Hollywood in 1988's "The New Adventures of Pippi Longstocking," Erin only went on to have roles in four other projects. Her most recent gig was as Pasta Bear Wife in 2010's "Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! Chrimbus Special." Erin has also acted as a model and a UNICEF Ambassador, and she regularly pursues charity work.
